Tariffs Update (April 2025)

TL;DR
Pricing on the Daisy platform is remaining stable for the time being, and our EU / UK customers will actually receive a price reduction within the next month or two. Things may change as this situation is quite dynamic, but barring any extreme tariff changes we will be able to hang tight to the current pricing structure.
I’ll avoid any political ramblings but it seems very clear that the current trade war will be generally increasing the retail price of goods for most people around the world, irrespective of country.
With that being said, stability has always been one of our core values for the Daisy platform:
- Stable Availability (Short / no lead times)
- Stable Price (Little to no upwards price variation year over year)
- Stable Technology (Backwards compatibility for both hardware and software)
We haven’t been able to achieve 0% change over the years, but I do believe that our Daisy availability throughout the chip shortage demonstrated our firm commitment to these values.
The Daisy Supply Chain
As far as electronics products are concerned, we are in the best possible position to weather the trade war with as minimal of an impact on our customers as possible.
The primary reasons for this are two-fold:
- We Grow Our Own Daisies
All Daisy products are built in California, USA at our own facility that we have been expanding over the last 7 years (photo above). Thanks to this arrangement, we are only paying tariffs on the raw materials that we import, and not the entire Daisy assembly. This lowers the percentage of the retail price that tariffs occupy. -
We Work Direct With Component Manufacturers
We work directly with most parts manufacturers to ensure the lowest possible price on all components that go into Daisy products. This has enabled us to achieve lower pricing than most of our customers would be able to receive on their own since we can leverage our economies of scale and special relationship with the IC manufacturers to get the lowest possible prices.
EU / UK Fulfillment Centers

One of the biggest pain points that Daisy customers in the EU and UK have been facing is the shipping cost, lead time, and import duties when purchasing directly from our website. We have been working hard to address these issues and are in the final stages of setting up fulfillment centers in Czechia, and England.
The benefits from this arrangement are numerous:
- Retail prices will be in customer’s native currency (£ or €)
- Retail prices will be VAT inclusive
- No importing required
- Reduced shipping cost
- 3 day or less shipping times for most customers
With this in mind, our EU and UK customers will be receiving a significant overall price improvement on Daisy products in the near future. We hope to have both the EU and UK fulfillment centers live sometime in May of this year.
Keep Calm and Make Computers Sing
Surrounded by apocalyptic headlines and divisive politics, the world needs music now more than ever. Rest assured that we will do our best to keep Daisy available, affordable, and stable so that our community can keep making the world sound better - one computer at a time.

Hi João,
We greatly appreciate your patience.
Last week, we published a new blog post that included an update regarding the UK / EU fulfillment centers.
Here’s an excerpt from the post:
“These are still happening, and we apologize for the delay!
We are nearing the finish line for the UK center and expect it to go live around June.
EU will follow 1-2 months after that.
This has taken longer than expected due to a lot of things, and global uncertainty hasn’t helped, but we’re excited to finally offer VAT inclusive pricing and local shipping options!
Join the newsletter for an update when these will go live."
Hi. I’m a big audio enthusiast from Portugal and I’d really really like to get my hands on a few Daisies, however I can’t find them for sale anywhere here in the EU.
I know these are troubled times, but is there any news you can share regarding the fulfillment center mentioned in last year’s blog post?
The boards look awesome, and i’m looking forward to having one in my hands :)
All the best,
João
